AMRAVATI CANCER FOUNDATION


Amravati with the population of 25 lacs people is the fast developing district in Vidharbha and out of 11 districts of Vidharbha only Nagpur is having the good facilities of cancer treatment.

According to W.H.O. survey, 600 new cancer cases are detected per year in population of 10 lacs ( i.e. 1500 new cancer cases are detected in Amravati per year ) and at a particular time more than 5000 patients are suffering from cancer in Amravati. These patients have to rush to Nagpur or Mumbai for lengthy treatment of cancer ( 2 to 6 month ). It becomes extremely difficult for them to go out of city ( by Paralyzing the work and resources ).
Therefore now it is very essential to construct a well equipped cancer hospital in Amravati. For that Amravati Cancer Foundation was formed and registered as charitable society  (no.    Amt./Mah./5799) and charitable trust (no. Amt./Mah./5913). It is affiliated to Indore Cancer Foundation for technical guidance and support.
